A brand for a really cool start-up

Thrive Games Brand

I completed this design back in 2014, as a co-founder and creative director of Thrive Games. Our business goals at the time were to create games that harken back to the golden age of console and arcade gaming (the late 80s and early 90s). So, I thought it would be clever to create key artwork that made our target demographic feel like they were back in their parent’s living room, with a Nintendo Entertainment System controller in their hand. The cactus was a natural fit, and represents resistance and determination to survive and grow despite any bleak, challenging environments. In actuality, the company didn’t :'( c’est la vie!
